1. How does the Forged Guard surface differ from conventional carbon shin guards?

The ProLeggera Forged Carbon Guard utilizes forged carbon technology, based on chopped carbon fibers rather than a traditional woven fabric. This process creates a distinctive marble-like effect, giving each shin guard a completely unique pattern.
Structurally, the guard continues to rely on a proven carbon–Kevlar composite, delivering high stiffness while maintaining minimal thickness. The Kevlar/carbon shell is just 1 mm thick and is combined with 6 mm of internal shock-absorbing foam. The hybrid composite construction ensures excellent structural strength and rigidity while preserving a low-profile shape of 16 × 8 cm, remaining unobtrusive and discreet on the shin.

2. Does chopped-fiber technology affect the weight of the guards?

The weight remains at an elite level even in this version—approximately 27 g in size M. Although forged carbon appears visually more substantial, precise hand lamination in the Czech Republic ensures these carbon football shin guards remain among the lightest on the market.
The low weight guarantees that players are barely aware of them during match play.
