Each pair is handcrafted using a specialised composite lay-up process before undergoing high-vacuum compression moulding and controlled thermal curing.

Due to the extensive handcrafting involved, individual shin guards may vary slightly in weight within a manufacturing tolerance of ±1–3 g.

1. How does the Carbon Guard EVO model differ from the standard version?

The main difference lies in the visual treatment of the outer layer, which uses a fabric with wider carbon fibers. This design gives the EVO guards a modern, highly technical appearance, while the internal carbon–Kevlar composite structure remains just as uncompromising as in other professional ProLeggera models.
The Kevlar/carbon shell is only 1 mm thick and is paired with 6 mm of internal shock-absorbing foam. The hybrid composite construction provides excellent structural strength and stiffness while maintaining a minimal profile of 16 × 8 cm, ensuring the guards do not interfere on the shin.

2. What are the technical specifications of the EVO version?

Despite the more pronounced fabric texture, the EVO model retains an extremely low weight of approximately 27 g (size M) and an ultra-thin profile.
The use of wider fiber bundles has no negative impact on flexibility or adaptability. Thanks to the internal memory foam, the guard conforms perfectly to the shape of the shin, creating a secure and natural fit.
